Shay's Environmental
Shay and I had a class together last year and before it I'd always be looking at one of my favorite fish forums, Monsterfishkepers.com, and Shay would be looking at one of his favorite forum's, Mopedarmy.com. We would share our excitement about our two hobbies but recently I purchased my first moped from craigslist.org and have been trying to get into the whole scene. Shay and his buddies share a little shop down in OTR and he was gracious enough to help me with my bike which has a few problems. Just an environmental portrait for my Applied Photo class.

A couple more Applied projects
First is a picture of Kristin cutting a mannequin's hair for a project where I had to simply shoot someone doing something. This was a personal favorite but not a favorite of my professor's. The other two images were taken as another architecture assignment in which I was assigned the Albright Health Center on NKU's campus.
Labor Day
These were shot at the WEBN Labor Day fireworks in Cincinnati. For those of you who don't know WEBN is the renegade hard and alternative rock radio station of Cincinnati and every year puts on an amazing fireworks event. I wish I had taken my tripod. I mean I figured we'd be shoulder to shoulder as in years past but we found a spot right next to the Newport Levee and had plenty of space for a number of tripods. These are the three snaps I kinda liked.
More Contrast Portraits from Camp
More of the same. Here I've got bmx director Will "The Thrill" Thompson, visiting veteran skateboard director Marc Gustitus, and Corey Ruben. Marc has always been a great means of inspiration, I met him I think 5 years ago when I was still a camper and he was just a counselor and instructor. Here we are the summer of 2008 brought together again by some crazy place called Woodward Pennsylvania.
Larry
The airport lost our fish for a few hours. Normally they come in around 12 or 1, here Larry is finally putting the fish to sleep shortly after closing at 9pm. I grabbed my camera and Larry muttered something about not looking good for the camera and I replied "You're beautiful Larry", which got me a good laugh.
More Camp Shots
A couple favorites from the 5 weeks I spent at camp. The first is of a tree in the middle of a forgotten bmx downhill racing track from I believe 2001. A portrait taken on a lazy Saturday afternoon of Dave Metty playing guitar. The others are of a neighboring Amish property where they made these mounds of grass after it had been cut. http://www.campwoodward.com

NKU BFA Senior Show Posters
These photos were shot with a good buddy of mine Austin Dunbar, who had a concept for a project he was working on in one of his graphic design classes for the Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Show posters. Turns out his teacher selected his project as the one they would actually use. Here are the before shots, will have the finals as soon as I get the digital files from Austin. These were taken in my apartment living room with my camera, flash, and I think a fill card. Models consist of me, Kristin, Megan, and Austin. The concept was to show art kids getting dressed up the only time they ever do which is for a gallery opening. Enjoy.
Summer Photos from Camp
I did some portraits while I was at camp. This one of my Canadian friend Chris Ritchie who I met several years ago when I was still a camper and he was a director. Now hes training to be one of those mixed martial arts dudes. The other is of a camper who was paid $10 to wear his clothes like this during a rainy day.
